Albergue Municipal de Peregrinos Casa del Médico - San Roque

Hostel exclusively for pilgrims, called the house of the doctor San Roque for being the old house of the village doctor and San Roque being the patron saint of the municipality and protector of pilgrims. It has capacity for 12 people. On the first floor is the area to leave the boots and bikes and upstairs is the common room with table, chairs and sofa and from the common room leads to the two rooms with three bunk beds each. There are also two bathrooms with showers and separate toilets, a fully equipped kitchen with access to a large terrace where there is a sink if you do not want to use the washing machine. It is essential to contact the association to access the hostel (entrance door with code) when there are no volunteer hospitaleros (June-October). Reservations and pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted inside the facilities. When there are volunteer hospitaleros, dinner, breakfast and disposable sheets are provided. In winter it is essential to bring a sleeping bag because there is no bedding or towels. There are blankets in all the beds available to pilgrims. It is mandatory to access the use of credentials and in the direction of the pilgrimage, towards Santiago de Compostela, not the other way around.
