Town Hall. The most emblematic of the buildings constructed in Don Benito is undoubtedly the building of the former Bank of Spain, inaugurated in May 1948, and the current Municipal Palace since 1979. Located in a privileged enclave of the city, on the site of the former Posada de la Plaza, its eclectic stylistic composition corresponds to the period of ‘pharaonic’ buildings erected to house ministries and official bodies during the Franco dictatorship.
