Centro de Interpretación de los Caminos Históricos

This interpretation centre provides an insight into the history of the roads in Spain, especially the Vía de la Plata.  Inaugurated in 2007, it occupies the first floor of the Aula Cultural de Usos Múltiples (ACVM -Vía de la Plata). The exhibition is made up of panels with text, information, models, photographs and an audiovisual presentation on the history of the roads in Salamanca which is divided into four different blocks: the layout of the roads throughout history; the constructions built along them (bridges, roads, inns, hostels...); the people who travelled along them; and, finally, a brief overview of the evolution of the transport used.
