In 1998, on the occasion of the construction of a public park, archaeological work was carried out on the upper part of the hill. Occupation levels from the 5th century B.C. (Turdetan period) to the 8th century B.C. (Tartessian period) were found there. This site was not chosen at random, the location of this hill offered multiple advantages, which made it suitable for human occupation: the remains of Tartessian huts were found, dating from the 8th century BC. The material remains found in these huts are limited exclusively to ceramics, pots and vessels. In the lower part of the hill we think that this whole area was occupied by a Roman Necropolis, among the archaeological pieces found: two limestone lions, two seated ladies and a pulvino.
