Día de San Marcos en Villanueva de la Concepción

On the day of San Marcos, the traditional hornazos of bread and eggs are made, with the traditional figure of the snake trying to catch a bird's nest, a local and a school competition is held, the schools organise excursions and walks for the pupils, culminating in a meal or snack in the countryside. The day is also used as an opportunity to spend the day out in nature with friends and family.
