It is located in Carrichete Street, on the site where the previous chapel was located, which was replaced in 1998 due to urban expansion works carried out in the aforementioned street.

The demolished chapel was documented in the burial mount of Ana Bazán Ventura, who died in the town on 15th January 1703, when she stated in her will: ‘...That a chasuble, stole and mantle should be made from her goods and wealth and given to the hermitage of St. Roque 199’.

The old building, like the others, was simple and imitated the aforementioned common construction model, without apparently presenting any significant features.

On the lintel of the main door there was a small wrought-iron flordelised cross, now preserved, attached to a marble slab with the silhouette of this cross engraved on it. The façade was crowned with a bell and the image of San Roque, patron saint of the neighbourhood, was worshipped inside.

His feast day is celebrated on the weekend close to the 16th of August, and on this significant day Holy Mass is celebrated in the hermitage itself, attended by the residents of the neighbourhood.
