This festival, along with other masquerades in the province, has been declared an Intangible Asset of Cultural Interest: BIC Mascaradas de Castilla y León.
The sculpture shows the mask (which will be black on 1 January and red on 6 January) and the trident.
Sculpture by Ricardo Aparicio Gago (born in Montamarta), made in 2002.
