Feria de la tenca y el vino

The Tench and Wine Festival is a food fair, whose main objective is to promote the gastronomy and typical crafts of the village of Alcuéscar. The different wineries of the village offer their best wines in different stands, and the town council gives the opportunity to taste the tench, a freshwater fish, bred in the wetlands of Alcuéscar, such as the Charca del Cura or the Pantano, which is highly coveted by gastronomic experts. Throughout the day, the fiesta is enlivened by a charanga (brass band).
