The Potaje Gitano de Utrera is a flamenco music festival that has taken place in the Sevillian town of Utrera (Spain) since 1957, making it the oldest flamenco festival. It was founded by the Brotherhood of the Gypsies of Utrera as a celebration held after the first processional exit at dawn on Good Friday. The Potaje de Utrera served as a model for many other Andalusian music festivals: the Caracolá in Lebrija (since 1966), the Gazpacho Andaluz in Morón (1963), the Festival de Cante Jondo in Mairena del Alcor (1962) or the Yerbabuena in Las Cabezas. In 1967, the Potaje de Utrera was declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
