During the Fiestas del Emigrante (Emigrant Festival), the town pays tribute to the locals who currently reside in other cities but spend the summer in their homeland. To celebrate, Medina decorates its streets and hosts open-air dances, concerts, and live music for all ages in its welcoming square.
