Fiesta del verdeo, "Día de la Haba"

This festival aims to promote a typical crop of the village of El Torcal, the broad bean. The production of this vegetable in the municipality ranges between two and a half million and a million kilos depending on how good or bad the year's harvest has been. The events begin at ten o'clock in the morning with the tasting of broad beans with oil in the local bars. Other highlights include performances by the Panda Infantil de Verdiales Santa María del Cerro and the Panda de Verdiales de Villanueva de la Concepción.
