Iglesia Conventual de Nuestra Señora del Carmen

Founded in 1649 as a seminary-school for the poor and orphans, it later came under the rule of the Reformed Carmelite Order. It preserves a rich collection of paintings, some of which have been associated with the artistic circle of Zurbarán. The main altarpiece was commissioned from Juan Martínez de Vargas. The effigies of Cristo Cautivo and Virgen de la Humildad are recent acquisitions. Visit by prior arrangement with the Cultural and Tourist Information Centre of Fuente de Cantos.
