IGLESIA DE LA ASUNCIÓN DE NUESTRA SEÑORA, ROALES DEL PAN
The original 16th century church has recently been reformed to enlarge the presbytery, but it still conserves its original belfry with two sections and three openings, the upper part of which has also been enlarged.
The church has a doorway with a segmental arch, sheltered under an alfiz from the end of the 16th century.
Inside, the main altarpiece from the 18th century stands out, with four Solomonic columns and a single body topped by an attic. On the sides are the images of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, which gives its name to the temple, and of San Sebastián, from the 18th century, who is the patron saint of the village.
A processional crucifix from the 16th century stands out. From this temple comes a valuable 17th century silver parish cross which is at the disposal of the Diocese of Zamora.
The church can be visited during worship hours, on Thursdays and Saturdays from 11am to 12:30pm and Sundays from 12pm to 2pm.
