The original construction of the temple dates back to the 16th century. The church is made up of two very different spaces:

- Presbytery: it contains a pulpit (brought from the nearby town of Fuensanta) and the main altar crowned by a neo-Gothic altarpiece from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The hipped roof does not have any distinctive elements, although it is worth highlighting the central part, a small decoration whose end is decorated with a polychrome geometric figure which could simulate a star.

- Main nave: we access it from the right side through a semicircular arch. Inside we find two Fuensanta capitals and the baptismal font which is located under the choir and the hipped roof. Inside, it is worth highlighting: the set of religious carvings which still preserves the last plastering.

From the outside we see a homogeneous plastering and several additions after the original construction of the temple such as: the bell gable and the atrium (the current one is from the 20th century, although that does not rule out the possibility that there was another older one in the same location).
