The temple was built during the 16th and 17th centuries on the remains of a Romanesque temple of which it conserves decorative elements on the walls, stonemason's marks and the base and capital on the columns of the exterior portico. It has a single nave, a square main chapel, Baroque altarpieces, a sacristy and a bell tower with a curious sundial dated 1704.
