The church, dating from the late 16th and early 17th centuries, combines Renaissance style with Baroque decoration. Built by Vermondo Resta and Hernán Ruiz II, it has a single nave divided into four sections with adjoining chapels. Highlights include the domed vault in the Main Chapel and an 18th-century Sevillian altarpiece. It houses 16th- and 17th-century sculptures and silverwork such as a 17th-century silver cross.
