Lavadero de Alsodux

The Fuente-Lavadero is perhaps one of the best-preserved examples in the whole region as it maintains a large part of the original structure and shows the attached fountain with the water supply shoring system, although it is always dependent on the weather. Washing places were fundamental elements of traditional culture for domestic hygiene before the public supply to rural dwellings. A fundamental space for women's social relations, a meeting point where they could exchange experiences or talk about the problems of the moment.
