The Llanos de Cáceres and Sierra de Fuentes SPA (Special Protection Area for Birds) is located within one of the great steppe areas of Extremadura. It is characterised by its gently rolling plains, stretching from Brozas to Trujillo.
Among its great biodiversity we can highlight: Great Bustard, Little Bustard, Partridge, Black Stork, Montagu's Harrier, Lesser Kestrel, etc.
In the section that joins Cáceres with Casar de Cáceres, we will cross part of this area of special conservation as it is on the right side of the road.
