Montemayor del Río, declared a historical site, honours its title with the incredible place where it is situated, surrounded by forests. The traditional architecture, monumental buildings and different enclaves of great notoriety that the municipality contains are:

- The wall

- Town hall: the construction of its factory began in the 16th century, after successive reforms the original part of the building has been altered, leaving today the ground floor and the bell gable (probably built after the original factory). Currently, it is the town hall building.

- Numerous houses with coats of arms and houses of interest.

- Stone bridge: located next to the hermitage, its construction dates back to the 18th century. Later, reinforcing walls were added to the sides, this gives it a trapezoidal shape and not vertical as it would have originally.

- Puente de Palo: an old bridge of good construction, originally the spans between the granite pillars were built with wood, the wooden platforms were supported by the pillars at the top, although they were reinforced with sticks which created a brace. Proof of this is the presence of some small holes located on the inside of the pillars.

- Puente de la Malena: the current construction that can be seen is from the 18th century, since it had to be rebuilt due to a strong flood.

- Fountain in the square: its construction dates back to the 16th century, it was conceived as a roll of justice. In the 19th century it lost its purpose for which it was built and it was probably when the steps were removed and it was converted into a fountain.

In Montemayor del Río you can discover a wide range of craftsmen who work with chestnut braiding and ceramics.

La Cañada Real is another of the routes they offer us: an old transhumance trail that preserves stretches of cobblestone.
