- Camino Mozárabe desde Almería / Rioja-Alboloduy
Monument Homage to the Wife of the Rural Pharmacist of Spain. Carolina De Yebra y Rittwagen, daughter-in-law, wife and mother of pharmacists. She was born in the capital of Almeria in a street near the Park, on the 3rd of December 1881 and died on the 3rd of May 1959. A very beautiful woman, she was first lady in the Court of Honour of the Floral Games held in Almeria in 1903, whose maintainer was Miguel de Unamuno. She married a pharmacist, who settled in Alhabia. She was widowed and blind, a setback that did not prevent her from continuing to work in her pharmacy, and her fame was transcended by her dedication to her home, her family and her work. She has symbolised in her the efforts and sacrifices of the Spanish pharmacist and a monument was erected to her in Alhabia, the work of the sculptor Santiago de Santiago on the initiative of her son Francisco Sanchez Yebra. Just opposite the monument was the village pharmacy which was founded in 1871.
