This dovecote is an open-air museum, an indispensable element in the rural life of this area, now in disuse.
It has a rounded base and is an example of the many that are still preserved in this area, many in a dilapidated state.
It was used for sheltering, nesting and breeding pigeons.
The dovecotes are nowadays considered jewels of the popular heritage of Tierra de Campos.
