This is a clear example of churches with their own or private foundations, characteristic of the High Middle Ages, which were those in which a lay patron appointed the priest who was to attend them and supported him with his own property, as well as the costs of worship and repairs to the church.

The right of patronage allowed the founder to place his family's coats of arms in the church. It also became a family pantheon.

Nowadays, it can only be visited during worship hours, at 12:00 and 20:30.
