Founded outside the city walls by the Discalced Franciscans (Alcantarinos) in 1713, in what was already the hermitage of the Virgen del Valle. Disentailed in 1835, it was not occupied by any other community until the end of the last century and the beginning of this one. For many years it was used as an asylum for the homeless elderly, and at the beginning of the 1980s it became one of the homes of the work of Jesús Abandonado. Major restoration work has been carried out. The church, which is not very large, consists of a single floor with side chapels. Inside, the main altarpiece by Juan Abundio de Burgos stands out. Executed between 1760 and 1763, it is made of carved and gilded Flanders pine wood. The central street is completely occupied by the entrance to the chapel of the Virgen del Valle, with a semicircular arch.
