The Cornalvo reservoir is a Roman infrastructure located about 15 km from the city of Mérida. The dam is a Roman construction on the Albarregas stream, which was used to supply water to part of the city of Augusta Emerita. It is a solid wall 220 m long and 18 m high, the part that is in contact with the water being in the form of a grandstand. The work dates back to the year 130. It is located within a Natural Park.
