Printing...The Royal August Fair, declared a ‘Festival of National Tourist Interest’ is one of the oldest in our country, whose origins date back to 1748, when King Ferdinand VI granted Antequera the privilege of holding this annual fair. It has an extensive programme of festivities, including performances, competitions, exhibitions and other events. Of great interest are the bullfights and the novilladas (bullfights with young bulls). The fair is divided into two days: the ‘Day Fair’ and the ‘Night Fair’, which take place in different settings.
