In Monterrubio de la Serena, the ‘Romería de San Isidro’ is celebrated every year on the 15th of May in honour of its patron saint. All the people of Monterrubio go to the Hermitage of San Isidro, where the pilgrimage is lived with great intensity and in perfect harmony. Nobody is denied a good glass of wine accompanied by the traditional ‘pinchos morunos’, cheese from La Serena and homemade ham from Pata Negra.
