San Jovita is the patron saint festival of Carcaboso.

They are the most important festivities in the municipality. They are held on 20 and 21 September. Masses and processions with the respective saints are held through the streets of the village. Typical of the procession is the throwing of the Saint's flag for the health of the family and relatives, to the rhythm of a popular tambourine melody.

These festivities are characterised by the large open-air dances that take place in the Plaza. In addition, there are numerous peñas (groups of friends), which make the festivities lively and joyful. Also of importance are the popular "cañas" (go for beers and tapas at lunch time) and the traditional "vaquillas" (heifers) through the streets of the village.
