The sanctuary is one of the oldest in Galicia and is visited by a large number of people. The Virgin of O Corpiño is invoked to cure illnesses. The 23rd and 24th of June are considered to be the Sanctuary's main festivities, when thousands of pilgrims flock to the shrine.
