Rafael Díaz Márquez, born on April 7, 1928, in El Real de la Jara, was a taxidermist and sculptor. Founder of SEO/Birdlife, he dedicated his life to showcasing Iberian wildlife through his works. Between the 80s and 90s, he introduced sculptures of native animals using recycled materials like cement and metal scraps. Today, his sculptures of tortoises, eagles, wild boars, wolves, otters, and lynxes form a highly interesting route.
