Iglesia Santa María en Gádor

It is one of the most emblematic monuments, built in the 16th century and the object of several reforms that have enriched its architecture, combining Gothic and Renaissance styles. It stands in the centre of the municipality and is a point of reference for residents and visitors alike, with altarpieces of great artistic value and sculptures of saints and virgins dating from different periods. Among the most important pieces is an image of the Virgen de los Dolores (Virgin of Sorrows).
