Ready to cover the 21.2 km of this stage, a beautiful oak forest welcomes us at the exit of As Vendas da Barreira. We move away from the main roads and pass through small villages like Trasestrada or San Pedro de Trasverea. Among them is the town of Sarreaus, where the path receives the curious name of "Camiño da Misa" (Mass Path). Meadows bordered by "soutos" (chestnut forests) and "carballeiras" (oak groves) lead us to Mirós. We climb towards Fumaces, an ancient village sheltered by the mountain range, and we are now approaching Verín. The silhouette of the magnificent Monterrei Castle appears frequently in the landscape.
Verín, the end of the stage, offers a wide range of accommodation and restaurants, highlighting its pilgrim hostel, whose building is shared with the municipal tourism office and an exhibition hall.
Here we cannot miss visiting the mineral water springs of "Sousas" and "Cabreiroá" and, of course, drinking their waters.
And if it's during Carnival season, we cannot miss "Entroido", which they live with tradition and passion, as well as watching the "cigarróns" parade and run in their costumes.
