STAGE: Almogia - Villanueva de la Concepcion

Leaving the Municipal Hostel on the left, after a few metres, at the Posada de Almogía hostel, cross the road. Here we will find the first arrows that lead us 400 m through the Urbanización la Caleta to a path, which descends steeply towards a farmhouse at the bottom.

Close to the cortijo we cross a wide path and a stream, and after 1 km of faded path we take a wide path to the right for 2.5 km and then turn right onto another path which in 4.3 km leads us to Cortijo Pacheco.

After 2.7 km of ups and downs, we reach the river Campanillas. After fording the river (if there is a lot of water you will have to look for a bridge 800 m to the right of the Camino), cross the C-3310 road, and after 100 m, on the left, take a path between two farmhouses that climbs 800 m alongside the Madre de Dios stream until you reach another wider path, which on the left takes you back to the road, which you follow to the right. After 1.5 km we cross the Horcajo bridge. After 200 m, the Camino Real comes out on the right, which leads to Villanueva de la Concepción.

We go up the Avda. de La Libertad to the Calle Real (left), Avda. García Caparrós (left) and we reach the Calle Almería (right), where the Albergue is located.
