STAGE: Villanueva de la Concepcion - Antequera

We leave the hostel to the left, to go up García Caparros avenue and Fresca street, until we reach some steps that lead to Blas Infante avenue, which we cross to enter Murillo street. At the end of this steep street we leave the village and are now in the countryside, guided by the arrows.

The road climbs for 7 km, passing the farmhouses of La Alhaja and Monjillas, until it reaches the farmhouse of Los Navazos. From here, flattening out for a little over 1 km, we reach the Puerto de la Escaleruela, in El Torcal.

The descent from the pass is via a steep but well-maintained track, and continues for 1.8 km along a wide, gently descending path until we reach the Cortijo Buenavista. Here we leave the road, and on the right we follow the cordel de Pesquera for 1.7 km until we reach the A-343 road.

Take this road 200 m to the C-3310 road, which we follow 800 m to the left in the direction of Aguas El Torcal and the Colegio de San Juan, and through the Calle Jesús we enter Antequera. The hostel is in the Church of Santiago (Plaza de Santiago).
