Camino Mozárabe desde Málaga
The Mozarabic Way in Malaga starts at the Church of Santiago, which is presided over by an excellent sculpture of St. James the Pilgrim and is the first of the many examples of Mudejar Art that we will find along the Way.
The province of Malaga is the second most mountainous province in Spain. The Way crosses it from the sea to its northern limit through a complicated orography that offers very busy stages with surprising landscapes and passes through villages where we will find monuments with numerous examples of religious art from the 16th and 17th centuries. We will also have the opportunity to visit other types of monuments such as the megalithic monuments of Antequera, or the remains of Roman roads and bridges, or the Mozarabic hermitages excavated in the mountains of Villanueva de Algaidas.
Along the 200 kms. of the Camino from Malaga to Cordoba we can sleep in a large network of Pilgrims' Hostels, both public and private, and others belonging to some parishes or tourist accommodation that offer pilgrims a warm welcome.
¡Buen camino!
