We can do this route in two different ways, both equally beautiful and challenging. Via Amoerio, once you cross the magnificent Roman bridge over the Miño River, you pass in front of the railway station to the small town of Canedo. Here begins a steep climb along the old road, now paved, called the Costiña de Canedo. Next come Cima da Costa and Mandrás, a village with a beautiful stone bridge and a refreshing fountain.

To reach Tamallancos, you have to leave Ourense via Avenida de A Coruña. In Cudeiro, you will have beautiful views of Ourense from the constant climb to Tamallancos, which you will cross via its Camino Real. There are all kinds of services available on the road. Afterwards, you will see some fine examples of traditional Galician architecture: Bouzas, Sobreira, Faramontanos and Viduelo.

Both roads meet in Casasnovas, from where, in a short time, you will reach Cea, famous for its bread, baked in traditional wood-fired ovens, some of which are still preserved. Among its most characteristic buildings is the Clock Tower, in the town hall square, with four arches at the base and a fountain at each corner.
