STAGE: Cerro Muriano - Villaharta
As far as Villaharta the path coincides with the Cañada Real Soriana and the GR-40 and 48 footpaths. On leaving the town we pass in front of the main entrance to the Military Base.
After 3.5 km we pass by the old Obejo Station. After 6 km, walking parallel to the old road, which will remain on the right, we reach the small village of El Vacar. We continue on our way, watched by the fortress on the hilltop that rises up on the left.
We continue walking close to the road until we reach the Cuesta de la Matanza, where we find several signposts indicating the Pilgrims' Route to Santiago de Compostela. To our right we can see the Sierras de Obejo in the background.
As we start to descend along the old road, we immediately come to a path on the right, marked with plaques of the Mozarabic Way. On the descent we will see the first source of ferruginous water, that of the Cordel. In 1.5 km. we pass under the N-4342. Soon we will see the village of Villaharta on our left. We soon come to the Malos Pasos fountain.
We join a dirt track and pass by a stone crossroads. After 500 m. we take a small path to the right. Shortly after, cross the road and continue straight on along a path between rocks. After 2 kms. we will have finished the stage.
