STAGE: Granada - Pinos Puente

We leave Granada after the Plaza de Europa roundabout, turn right and follow the arrows. At the third exit we find a park next to the railway line. At the end of this park we find a railway overpass, and once we have descended it we turn right towards Maracena. We access through the Cerrillo de Maracena continuing along the road that continues in front of the park, through which we have come, leaving Maracena behind; we continue along the pavement of this road for about 500 m, continuing along a mountain road for another 1,100 m, returning to the asphalt and passing behind the park ‘La Higueruela’ we will arrive at Atarfe. We go round the park on the left and we will find a roundabout and a monument to La Libertad.
We look for the Alfonso Bailón street, leading to the Town Hall Square. We continue to the left along Calle Real, linking up with Avenida de la Estación, where we come to a roundabout.

At this point turn right into Aragón street. On the outskirts there is another roundabout and the bullring. Under the A-92 we follow a tarmac road called ‘Las Monjas’, which will take us to the junction with the road to Córdoba, which we cross with caution. Carefully cross the railway tracks, linking up with the road to Fuente Vaqueros. After about 20 m, turn right onto an asphalted road, following it for about 300 m. At the exit of a bend, on the left, we take a dirt track, parallel to the railway tracks, which we follow for about 1,600 m, crossing the railway tracks again and following another dirt track for about 100 m, we reach the pilgrims' hostel run by Los Esclavos de María y de los Pobres, on the outskirts of Pinos Puente. In addition, this municipality also has a Pilgrim's Hostel, which is owned by the municipality.
