STAGE: Pinos Puente - Moclín

  • DISTANCE: 18,50 km
  • VILLAGES: 3
  • HOSTING: 17

We walk from the pilgrims' hostel run by the Slaves of Mary and the Poor Brothers. We cross the Córdoba road with great caution and take a path that leads us to a roundabout where the town centre of Pinos Puente begins. We have also been able to spend the night in the municipal hostel, located in a fantastic spot, surrounded by one of the most beautiful spots known as El Plantel, on the outskirts of the municipality, but not far from the town centre. After passing the Puente de la Virgen (Bridge of the Virgin) we take Calle Real until we reach the Plaza de la Iglesia (Church Square). Then turn right towards Calle Ancha and after a roundabout we take the Camino de Caparacena. After about 300 m we follow to the left the ‘Colada de Caparacena’, a wide dirt track (Camino de los Almirantes).
We continue until we reach another crossroads where we turn left, continuing until we reach another crossroads where we turn right and reach the GR-3413 crossroads between Colomera and Los Olivares. We cross the road and continue along another secondary road until we come to the farmhouses of ‘Los Berbes’. We leave them to one side and turn left onto a track that leads us to the hamlet of ‘Los Berbes Altos’, which will take us to Los Olivares.

From Los Olivares to Moclín we cross the River Velillos over a bridge that ends in front of the bar ‘Los Martínez’, in the street Rafael Alberti. We continue along this street and turn left into Iglesia street. We reach a narrow road that leads to the Hotel Don Curro. There is a wooden signpost with two directions: straight ahead for Moclín (2.7 km) and to the right for ‘Pasarela’ (2 km).
We continue ahead until we reach the end of some chalets, turning off to the left onto a dirt track whose ascent takes us to the path that will lead us to the village of Moclín.
