STAGE: Alcalá la Real - Alcaudete

We start from the Plaza Pablo de Rojas, passing the Palacio Abacial (Pilgrim Information Point), continuing along the Carrera de las Mercedes, to Tejuela Street. We leave the Ciudad de la Mota along the Camino Nuevo street to join the ‘Cordel de Córdoba a Guadix’. After 1.5 km we come to a small medieval bridge that crosses a stream and follows the old road, along which after 3 km we reach the village of Puertollano.

We continue along the ‘Vereda de Granada’ parallel to the right of the N-432. We follow this path for almost 4 km, we will find an underpass, in not very good conditions in rainy weather, which allows us to cross the road on the left side and follow the path until we almost reach Ventas del Carrizal. We enter this hamlet by crossing the national road, so we must be careful. The Social Services Centre is an information point. We leave via Calle La Fuente and descend towards the Río S. Juan, cross the bridge and immediately turn left, to continue along the ‘Cañada Real de Fuente Amuña’.

We continue straight on towards Alcaudete, entering through Fuente Amuña. We go down the asphalted road for about 600 m., turn left and reach the Sanctuary of La Fuensanta, go down through the park and turn left, at the roundabout we go up to the right along the Avd. de Andalucía, to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square).
