From Alboloduy, the route begins to climb progressively, entering the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, one of the most important mountain ranges of the peninsula. This stretch is known for its rugged landscapes and its sense of isolation, where pilgrims can enjoy almost absolute peace and tranquillity. Along the route, we cross ravines, streams, the Nacimiento riverbed, dirt tracks and paths, with panoramic views where the transition from the arid and semi-desert landscapes of the foothills of the sierra to the greener and more fertile lands found as we approach Abla, where the influence of the Alpujarra begins to become visible. We reach Nacimiento via the Rambla del Rio after 12 km and after resting or sleeping in the albergue, we return to the Rambla until we reach Los Gregorios. We leave the track to cross the road and go round the roundabout, on the right we take the pedestrian path to Doña María and Ocaña, where we can sleep in the municipal hostel. In 6 km we reach the top of Abla and through narrow whitewashed streets, we arrive at the municipal pilgrims' hostel, where the views alone are worth the climb.
